Albert C. Harder
OSAGE CITY -- Albert C. Harder, 81,
died Monday (Feb. 28, 2000) at his son's home in Osage City.
He was born May 11, 1918, in Newton to
Henry and Helen (Richert) Harder. He married Daisy Lanz Aug. 17,
1942, in Wichita. She preceded him in death March 1996.
He attended school in Wichita. He
worked for Boeing before World War II. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps
veteran in World War II. He later was employed at Hewitt Chevrolet in
Ottawa and then Osage City. He moved to Topeka in 1961.
He worked for Scott-Puffer Chevrolet in
Topeka. He continued employment through several owners driving the
wrecker for Van-T, Kent-Brown and retiring from Ed Bozarth, all of
Topeka. After retirement he continued to run parts and shuttle
customers for Bob Brown's Auto Center in Topeka.
Survivors include: one son, David
Harder of Osage City; two daughters, Judy Crane of Boulder, Colo.,
and Linda Wasley of Burbank, Calif.; one sister, Dora Voth of Newton;
one brother, Ernie Harder of Wichita; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Friday
at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel in Topeka. Burial will be 2 p.m.
Friday at Emmaus Cemetery in Whitewater.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m.
Thursday at the funeral home.
