Wanda J. Eby
GOESSEL -- Wanda J. Eby, 65, of
Goessel, died Saturday (March 4, 2000) at Via Christi Regional
Medical Center, St. Francis Campus.
She was born Nov. 6, 1934, in Humboldt
to Treat L. and Anna Loretta (Titmus) Latimer. She married Floyd J.
Eby Sr. May 30, 1955, in Iola. He preceded her in death Aug. 16,
1995.
She was a homemaker and also was
employed as a retail clerk and supervisor with Woolworths Department
Stores. She graduated from Evergreen College in San Jose, Calif. She
was a member of the board of education in San Jose, and St. Mary's
Catholic Church in Newton.
Survivors include: one son, Floyd J.
Eby II of Newton; three daughters, Christine Anna Padgitt of Coeur d'
Alene, Idaho, Tamara Jean Ploof of Lufkin, Texas, and Geneva Wanda
Eby of Goessel; one brother, Lloyd Latimer of Wichita; four sisters,
Mary Farnsworth of Modesto, Calif., Barbara Platt and Patricia
Johanson, both of El Dorado and Madeline Moulsick of Boise, Idaho;
four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She also was preceded in death by her
parents; one brother, Paul Latimer; and one grandson, Brian Ploof.
Recitation of Rosary will be 6 p.m.
Wednesday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, led by Rev. Ken
Schuckman.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m.
Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newton with the Rev. Ken
Schuckman officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic
Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
