Yvonne L. Eckert
HALSTEAD -- Yvonne L. Eckert, 65, died
Tuesday (March 14, 2000) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
She was born Sept. 12, 1934, in
Lawrence to Ronald and Martha (Perkins) Robb. They survives of
Halstead.
She was a retired art teacher at
Osawattomie High School and most recently at Halstead High School for
12 years, retiring in 1994. She was a resident of Halstead since
1998, moving from Newton. She moved to Schowalter Villa in January
2000.
She was a member of First United
Methodist Church in Halstead. She was a graduate of Lawrence High
School. She also graduated from Kansas University with a masters in
art education.
Other survivors include: one son, David
Eckert of Liberal; three brothers, Allan Robb of Fairfax, Va., R.
Steven Robb of Pittsburg and Curtis Robb of Hagerstown, Md.; and one
granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday
at First United Methodist Church in Halstead with the Rev. James
Mardock officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park
Cemetery in Lawrence.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m.
Thursday with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday at
Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.
Memorials have been established with
Halstead High School Yvonne L. Eckert Memorial Scholarship Fund in
care of the funeral home.
