Orion F. Elliott
WHITEWATER -- Orion F. Elliott, 72, of
Whitewater, retired lineman for a power and light company, died
Thursday (March 16, 2000) in Halstead.
He was born Aug. 21, 1927, in Oswego to
George Richard and Verna (Smith) Elliott. He married Frieda Jones
Sept. 23, 1950, at Assembly of God Church in Oswego. She preceded him
in death March 2, 2000.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the
Korean War. He had lived in Whitewater for eight months, moving from
Mexico, Mo. He lived in Mexico, Mo. for 24 years.
Survivors include: one son, Alan
Elliott of Swedesboro, N.J.; two daughters, Karen Ball of
Albuquerque, N.M., and Kathy Lamb of Whitewater; five sisters, Mary
Campbell of Oswego, Eva Marshall of Columbus, Jane Garrett of
Lubbock, Texas, Edna Smith of Emporia and Georgie Ann Stevenson of
Edna; and six grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by one
son, Steven Elliott; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday
at Assembly of God Church in Oswego with the Rev. Jack Blackwell
officiating. Burial will be in the Oswego Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Saturday at Bob Lamb Funeral Home in Whitewater and 9 a.m. to service
time Monday at the church. Family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30
p.m. Sunday at Senior Community Building in Oswego.
Memorials have been established with
Wild Birds Unlimited in care of the funeral home.
