Earl T. Chambers
Earl T. Chambers, 83, of Newton, died
Wednesday (March 22, 2000) at Newton Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 6, 1916, in Anderson,
Iowa, to Earl and Mildred (Newsom) Chambers. He married Norma Elaine
Dombrosky July 3, 1950, in Wichita. She preceded him in death June
15, 1976.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World
War II. He was raised and lived in Iowa prior to service. He was
employed by Boeing Aircraft for 40 years. He retired in 1982. He also
worked in Wichita, Spokane, Wash., and Everett, Wash. He moved to
Newton April 1998 to be near family.
He enjoyed fishing and traveling with
family in the state of Washington.
Survivors include: one daughter, Susi
Entz of Newton; one step son, Kenneth Murray of Newton; one
granddaughter; and one step-granddaughter.
He also was preceded in death by his
parents; and one son, Gerry Dean Chambers.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m.
Saturday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Qintin
Moore and Sharolyn Sidebottom assisting, both from Abundant Life
Community Church in Hutchinson, officiating. Burial will be in the
Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today and
9 a.m. to noon and 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials have been established with
Abundant Life Community Church Prayer Room Building Fund in
Hutchinson in care of the funeral home.
