Myrtle Fern Kraus Hermann
Myrtle Fern Kraus Hermann, 80, of North
Newton, homemaker, died Wednesday (March 22, 2000) at Newton Medical
Center.
She was born May 7, 1919, on the family
farm near Council Grove to Charles A. "Carl" and Anna C.
(Eberle) Kraus. She married George Hermann May 29, 1940, at St.
Paul's Lutheran Church in Alta Vista. He survives of North Newton.
She was a graduate of Council Grove
High School. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Wichita.
She and her husband lived in Wichita for 38 years. In 1978, they
moved to North Newton.
She enjoyed gardening, watching birds
and taking fishing trips.
Other survivors include: one son,
Theron Hermann of Kinnelon, N.J.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday
at Kendall Funeral Chapel in Council Grove with burial following in
the Alta Vista Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m.
Sunday with family greeting friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the
funeral home.
