Beverly Wohlschlegel
Beverly Wohlschlegel, 70, 1305 N.
Hoover Rd., died Thursday (March 23, 2000) at her residence.
She was born Sept. 23, 1929, in
Hutchinson to Robert A. and Lillian M. (Litchfield) Schultz. She
married Claude Wohlschlegel March 12, 1950, in Newton. He survives of
Newton.
She worked for Southwestern Bell
Telephone for 10 years, where she was an operator and wire chief
clerk. She also was a homemaker.
She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma
Phi Sorority. She was involved with Girl Scouts for 14 years, 4-H for
12 years and PTA. She was named a woman of the year in the Newton
Woman of the Year program in the early 1960s.
She enjoyed crafts, doll making,
antique collecting and her horses.
Other survivors include: three
daughters, Sherry Shinkle of Park City and Cindy Rambo and Janet
Garza, both of Newton; one brother, Robert Shultz of Austin, Texas;
and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
parents.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m.
Saturday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Lloyd Kraft of
Gridley officiating. Burial will be in the Restlawn Gardens of Memory
in Newton.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today
with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Petersen
Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
Friendly Acres, American Cancer Society and Central Homecare and
Hospice in care of the funeral home.
