Ham, Elizabeth

The Newton Kansan

Elizabeth Ann Ham, formerly of Newton, died Tuesday, May 13, at her home in Oak Creek, Wis., following a valiant fight against ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). She was 60.  Betty, a 1971 graduate of Newton High School, was born in Newton on Aug. 19, 1953, the daughter of the late Winfield and Eileen Warner.

Survivors include her husband, Larry, of the home; son, Matt Ham of Oak Creek, Wis.; daughter, Laura (Matt) Luedtke of Oak Creek, Wis.; three grandchildren, Paige Ham, Braden Luedtke and Keira Luedtke, all of Oak Creek, Wis.; six brothers, Jim Warner of Jacksonville, Fla., Mike Warner of Columbia, Md., Terry Warner of Nickerson, Joe Warner of Grand Junction, Colo., Bob Warner of Elko, Nev., and Bill Warner of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Peggy (Roger) Gillispie of Newton, and Frances Buller of Security, Colo.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Pat Warner, in 1974, and one sister, Mary Poulin, in 2011.

A service was held at St. James Catholic Church in Franklin, Wis., on May 24.
