Obituary

Glenn E. Davis, 73, retired Boeing Aircraft contract negotiator, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Via Christi Hospital St. Teresa Campus.  He was born Aug. 26, 1940, at Springdale, Ark., to Ernest and Lottie (Huffman) Davis.  He was a member of Sedgwick Christian Church, Sedgwick Lions Club, and was a pitcher in the L.A. Dodger farm system.

On Feb. 7, 1961, he married Anne Hunter at Emporia. She survives.  Other survivors include sons: Steven (Pam) Davis, Franklin, N.C., Lance (Paula) Davis, Sedgwick, Luke (Christy) Davis, Cottonwood Falls, and Nathan (Alysha) Davis, Wichita; brother, Eugene (Donna) Davis, Lyndon, Joyce (Chuck) Skowron, Romulus, Mich., Helen (Bob) Schemer, Lyndon, and Barbara (Ron) Faclan, Texas; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Davis.

A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014, Sedgwick Christian Church, with Pastor Corey Mosey officiating.  Memorials may be given to Sedgwick Christian Church, in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
