Obituary

   Harold E. Umholtz, 89, of Moran, died Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Moran Manor.  He was born March 16, 1925 in Newton, son of Harry and Louise Deschner Umholtz.  He grew up in the Hesston area and served in the U.S. Army.  He later moved to Woodson County where he baled hay for area farmers.  Before he retired, he worked at the ammunitiion plant in Parsons until it closed.

   Survivors: six siblings: Ross Umholtz of LaHarpe; Earl Umholtz of Fall River; Alice Grisier of Yates Center; Wilma Strawder of Inman; Norma Jean Nebergall of Newton; Dorothy Nickel of Anthony and a number of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joohn UmHoltz.

   Cremation has taken place.  Private family inurnment will be at the Eastlawn Cemetery at Zimmerdale in Harvey County at a later date.
