Obituary

   Paul Gressinger died and cause of death were convulsions due to lead poisoning or painters colic.  He was born in Bresla Germanh in 1848, came to America at the age of 19 where he learned the trade of a paiinter.  In 1874 he married  Anna Gehne at Summerfield, Illinois.  They came to Halstead in 1883.  He was one of the most regular attendants at the Presbyterian Church.  He was a member of the AAUW Lodge.

   Survivors: widow and four chidren; Mrs G. H. Otto; William Gressinger and Walter and Alvena Gressinger of Halstead; a sister and 3 grandchildren.  Handsome floral offerings literally covered the casket.
