Randy Haydeen Nold was born in Wichita to Betty Rampy and Joseph Bernard Nold. He grew up in Sedgwgick where he graduated from High School in 1969 and joined the U. S. Navy. He passed away December 2, 2013.
He served his country proudly, including ttwo tours in Vietnam, and was a lifelong member of VFW Post 1166, Buena Vista, Colorado. Randy joined the Sedgwick County Sheriff's department as a patrol officer, leaving in 1986 as a detective. He married Cindy Buchanan in 1982 and they moved their family to Colorado in 1991 where he worked for the Chaffee County Sheriff's Department and the Colorado Department of Corrections.
Randy is survived by his wife, Cindy Nold; children; Kimi Roberson (Jody); Michael Nold (Samantha): Autumn Camp (Jeff); Steven Nold (Amber); Jordan Nold (Hillary); 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Tery Nold (Roxy); Mark Nold (Maria); Richard Wiley; Doug Wiley. Funeral services were helld in December 20113 in Buena Vista, Colorado.
Burial ceremony in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, will be Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 4 p.m.
