Donald Warren Terrill died at home Monday, June 30, 2014 in Newton. He was born to Forrest andOlive Terrill on December 13, 1926 in Arkansas City Kansas. He later met Alice Davis, they married April 10, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri. They had two children together;; son, David and dauhter, Robyn. He served his country in the u.S. Navy from 1944 to 1941.
Don served as a vice president of Railroad Savings & Loan until he retired in 1988. He also worked as a real estate broker for more than 20years. Keeping with his serving nature, Don volunteered at Newton Medical Cemter for two years.
He was an avid fan of baseball, basketball and a diehard KU fan. He was very proud of his family. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and served as scoutmaster. He divided his talent of singing and playing a trumpet in Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: wife, Alice of the home; son, David Terrill of Newton; daughter, Robyn (Boyd( Weber of Newton; grandchildren Dr. Dustin Weber, Brooks Wegber, Alex Weber, Ryan Terrill and Jamee Schneider and two great grandchildren;.
Graveside services will be Julyy 3, 2014 at Restlawn Gardens of memory, rural lNewton.
