   Willie McElwain, son of Mr. & Mrs. Will McElwain, former resident, now of Moreland, Oklahoma.  He was drenched with perspiration when a heavy rain storm came up to which he was exposed.  This induced the sickness which reulted in his death from erysipelas of the face and head within one week.

   He was born in Garden City Kansas in 1886.  He married Marguerite E.. Bates in 1910. and to this union two daughters were born.

   Survivors: daughters, Ruby age 3 and Leah, Age one year.

   He was born November 26, 1886 near Garden City and died at Wichiita on August 2, 1914.  Age 27 years, 8 months and 6 days.  At the age of 4 he moved with his parents to a residence near Burrton, Kansas.

 

   

   Funeral was at the Christian Church in Burrton with burial in the Burrton cemetery.
