Terry Lee Wrench, 66, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at his home in Newton. He was born December 26, 1947 in Wellington. He was raised in Wichita and graduated from South HighSchool. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
After being discharged he returned to Kansas, moving to Newton in 1969 aat which time he began working for SouthwesternBeell as a cable splicing technician, where he remaned for 31 years, retiring in 2000.
Survivors: son, Chester Wrench of Newton; daughter Maria Mistretta and husband, Gregory of Derby; his father, Fred Cottle of South Haven; sister, Rosalyn Barney of Winfield; half-brother, Michael Cottle of Los Angeles; 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marcella Hare Wrench; adopted father, Max Wrench and grandson, Michael 'Tyler Tracu/.
There will be no services as cremation will take place after the viewing. A memorial established with the Americn Lung Associatiion has been set up. Arrangements by Broadway Colonial R+Funeral Home, Newton.
