Nolder, John P.
Sedgwick Pantagraph
John P. Nolder died at Axtell's Hospital in Newton on March 20, 1914. He was born at the old homestead five miles west of Newton on July 7, 1874. He lived on the homestead until manhood when he moved near Sedgwick. He was married to Miss Mollie Hillyard on December 25, 1899 and to this union were born five children, two of whom died in infancy. He leaves a wife and three children, Leah, Edna and Edward; two sisters and one brother. The two sisters are Mrs. Dorcas Micheneer of Abilene and Mrs, Cora Walker of Sedgwick. His brother,Joel Nolder, lives on the old homestead west of Newton.
For the last seven years John Nolder conducted the blacksmith shop on Commercial avenue. He is a member of AOUE and IOOF.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church. Burial was in Hillside cemetery.
