Marvin Zook, 85, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. He weas born August 30, 1928 to Edward and Nancy Hershberger Zook in Cass County, Missouri. Marvin was united in marriage to Dorothy Reber Pyles on January 15, 1970 in Hesston.
Marvin was employed by Kings Construction, Kropf Lumber and Bethel College. He was a member of Hesston Mennonite Church since 1944. Marvin was involved in the church where he was a member of Pathfinders Sunday School Class and sang with the Mennonite Men's Chorus for 25 years. He also served on the Harvey County Park Board.
Survivors: his wife of 44 years, Dorothy; children; Steven Zook, Omaha, Nebraska; Rodney (Debbie) Zook of Hutchinson; Lonnie (Lori) Martin of Denver, Colorado; Kim (Rick( Borders of Halstead and Dan (Ginger) Pyles of Tucson, Arizona; brothers; Allen Zook of Stryker, Ohio; Alvin (Evelyn) Zook of Garden City and John (Rosemary) Zook of Goshen, Indianna; 9 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Nancy;; daughter, Monica and sisters; Maary ;erb; Erma Zimmerman and Luella Bitakofeer.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 2 at Miller-Ott Funeral home in Hesston.
