Moots, George E.

Halstead Independent

    George E. Moots was born in Illinois, May 22, 1864, coming to Kansas with his parents in the spriing of 1882.  The last 12 years he made his home in Kansas City Missouri. His illness covered a period of five years, the last two of which he was unable to do very much for  himself.  He died October 13 1912 at the age of 48 years, 4 months, 22 days. 

   He leaves a wife, two sons and one daughter, also a father.5 brothers and 2 sisters. He has many times said to friends and relativies that he was resigned to God's will and was ready when the summons came and passed away very peacefully.

 

   George Moots, son of  PhilanderMoots, well known Macon township farmer, died Sunday at the tuberculosis Hospital in Kansas City.  He was well known in this vicinity when he lived at home, but he has spent mosst of the past 20 years in Kansas Cityl.  The remaiins were brought to Halstead and interment was in the City Cemetery.
