Seedle, Esther Marie
Burrton Graphic
Esther Marie Seedle, two year daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Oscar Seedle from the result of a fatal accident occured at the Park during the AHTA Picnic on Saturday. Mrs. Oscar Seedle was standiing just inside the park when C. F. Howard in a high powered Studebaker automobile came driving up and attempted to cross into the park. Standing by the side of Mrs. Seedle was her two year daughter, Esther Marie. Mrs. Seedle picked the child from the ground and undertook to escape out of the way of the car. Mr. Howard killed the engine some distance away, but the weight of the car and its momentum carried it on and the fender struck Mrs. Seedle, carryiing her down with the child in her arms. The front wheel of the car ran over the child in such a manner that the little life had flown before doctors Myers and Seehorn could reach the victum. Mrs. Seedle suffered a broken collar bone and serious bruises. Mr. & Mrs.Seedle and the Howard family have had a deep and established friendship of years standing and members of both are prostrate with grief.
