Mary T. Gaul, 81, retired cafe owner and operator, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Diversacare Healthcare Center in Sedgwick. She was born November 24, 1932 at Spearville, Kansas to Peter Edward and Harrietta Ellenn (Hildebran) Shean. She was a Sedgwick resident since 1963 and was a member of Sedgwick Christian Church.
On July 31, 1948 whe married Leslie E. Gaul at Kinsley, Kansas. He preceded her in death on Novembe 28, 1987,
Survivors: sons; Terry, Tom and Tim Gaul, all of Sedgwick; daughter Peggy (Larry) Hanes, Newton; sister, Betty Nau, Tipton, Missouri: 10 grandchildren and 12 grreat grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter; Connie Warhurst; brothers, Dean, Joseph, Edward; Henry and John Shean; sisters; Norma Shean; Maida Shean and Rose Helfrich.
Graveside services were August 30 at Hillside Cemetery, with Pastor Corey Mozey officiatiing.
