Janzen, Joyce
Joyce Elaine Janzen, 77, of Hesston, KS, passed away peacefully on
Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Showalter Villa, Hesston.
Joyce
was born on December 20, 1936, in Kingman, KS, the daughter of Harvey
and Helen (Kaufman) Albrecht. She graduated from Kingman High School and
attended Bethel College. She graduated from Sidney's Hairdressing
College. On May 30, 1956, Joyce was united in marriage to Junior L.
Janzen in Pretty Prairie, KS. She was a
hair stylist for 45 years, owning and operating Joyce's Beauty Shop and a member of Kingdom Life Ministries, Hesston.
Survivors
include: husband, Junior of the home; five children, Kris Townsend
(Fred) of Colorado Springs, CO, Keith Janzen (Dorothy) of McPherson, KS,
Kenton Janzen (Tyann) of Brighton, CO, Kyle Janzen (Carolyn) of
Hesston, KS, and Kerry Janzen of Denver, CO; brother, Leland Albrecht
(Verda) of Hillsboro, KS; 11 grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Darrell Albrecht, and sister, Donna Schrag.
The
funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, September 29, 2014, at
Kingdom Life Ministries, Hesston with Pastor Scott Miller officiating.
Burial will precede the service at 9:00 AM at Eastlawn Cemetery,
Hesston. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Sunday, Sept.
28, at Kingdom Life Ministries. In lieu of flowers, memorial
donations may be given to Kingdom Life Ministries in care of Stockham
Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
