Obituary

Lee Murray passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 in Wichita.

He was born in Coffeeville, Ks, December 7, 1925. His parents were Elmer Murray and Florence May (Straughn) Murray.  Lee was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 31 years. He liked old cars, fishing, hunting, camping. He also loved life and his family.

Survivors are daughter Patricia Cowden-O'Hara (Tom) Wichita; and Debora Murray Shaw (Stephen). Grandchildren: April Stiles, Kim Cash. Great Grandchildren are Amy, Dustin, Christopher, Shelby, and Autumn. Those who preceeded Lee in death are: wife Barbara (Fisher) Murray, brother Henry Murray, twin sisters Faye Murray and Fern Campbell, and granddaughter Lisa Shaw.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 23 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton. Graveside service will be Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick.
