J. A. Wimp died October 22, 19134 at the home of his daughter near Colwich, Kansas. mr.. Wimp was one of the earliest settlers of Lake Township, coming there in March of 1873. He was born September 22, 1837 in Meade County, Kentucky and died at the age of 76 hears and one month.
