Obituary

Dolores M. Ottensmeier, 85, went home to be with her Lord on Sept. 30, 2014, at Asbury Park of Newton.

Dolores Meredith Edmunds was born on March 23, 1929, in Marion, Kansas, the daughter of John and Ellen Edmunds. She was the youngest of six children. On May 7, 1950, she married the love of her life, Elmer John Ottensmeier.

Survivors include a daughter, Cherri Brandenberger of Newton; a son, Mark Ottensmeier and his wife, Lisa, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; five grandchildren: John Ottensmeier of Marion, Ryan Brandenberger of Storm Lake, Iowa, Jessica Ottensmeier of Wichita, Ashley Ottensmeier of New York, New York, and Katie Brandenberger of Wheaton, Illinois; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer and all of her siblings: Margaret Jones, Don, Bill, John and Bob Edmunds; twin infant siblings, Max and Maxine; and a son-in-law, Harry Brandenberger.

Visitation was Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, with family greeting friends at Zeiner Funeral Home. The graveside service was Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at the Marion Cemetery, with Pastor Ryan Brandenberger officiating.  A memorial fund has been established with Samaritan's Purse, in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS 66861
