Obituary

Adrian Wayne Southern, age 62 of Ollie, Iowa, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014, at the VA Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa.

Adrian was born on March 25, 1952, in Newton to Edward J. and Audrey Marie (McCulloch) Southern. He married Rebecca O. Ano on May 20, 2006.  He has lived in Ollie since 2008. Adrian worked for Panama Trucking as a truck driver for 15 years. He enjoyed going for drives, whether it be in his truck or motorcycle. Adrian liked to play computer games and watch wrestling.

Adrian is survived by his wife, Rebecca O. Ano-Southern; five children, A. Wayne Southern II of Fort Madison, Iowa, James Southern of New Caney, Texas, Christopher Southern of Sacramento, California, Anthony Southern of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Jaimye (James) Kent of Fairfield, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Teri A. Regier of Newton.  He was preceded by death by his parents, Edward and Audrey Southern; one brother, James Edward "Eddie" Southern; one sister, Louise J. Franklin; and two grandsons, Thailer Southern and Jackson D. Southern.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Behner Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, Iowa, with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Following the service, the body will be cremated and burial of cremains will be at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the family. Cards and memorials can be sent to: 160 S.
