Linda Mae Domingo, 86, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014. She was born Oct.
28, 1928, at Newton, the daughter of Isaac and Anna Enns Androes.
She
was a 1946 graduate of Newton High School, a member of First United
Methodist Church of Hutchinson, the Double Circle Sunday school class
and Delos V. Smith Senior Center. Linda’s hobbies included quilting,
crafts, twilling and swimming, and belonged to the Heart of Kansas and
Evening Star Quilting Guilds. She was a clerk at the Register of Deeds
and Treasurers Office in the Reno County courthouse. On Sept. 16, 1950,
she married Melvin E. Domingo in Newton. He died Sept. 13, 2002.
She is
survived by: her children and their spouses, Philip Domingo (Stephanie),
Janet Scott (Roger), all of Hutchinson; a brother, Robert Androes
(Evalena) of Walton; a sister, Irma Janzen of Hutchinson; five
grandchildren, Chris Scott (Kitra), Tiffany Scott (Paul Kleinhans),
Bryce Miller (Dawn Davis), Amanda Miller, and Aaron Miller; nine
great-grandchildren, Samantha and Shawn Martin, Madison and Hunter
Scott, Trystan and Garrett Pyle, Jade Kleinhans and Brayden and Ashton
Luedtke. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Walter
Androes.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at
First United Methodist Church, 101 East 1st Ave., Hutchinson, with
Reverend Jeff Slater presiding. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial
Park, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9
a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, with family present from 6
to 8 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in the narthex. In
lieu of flowers, memorials gifts may be made to the church or Hospice of
