Obituary

Evelyn D. Goering, 94, died Sunday, November 9, 2014, at Pine Village of Moundridge.

She was born April 13, 1920, to Joseph P. and Mary Flickner Kaufman in McPherson County. She was a Registered Nurse. She married Milo B. Goering August 30, 1944, at Moundridge. He died August 19, 2012.

Survivors include a son, Myron B. Goering, Halstead; a daughter, Frankie Huxman, Newton; grandsons, Chris (DeAnn) Huxman and Brian (Corrine) Huxman; six great grandsons; brother, Roland "Bus" Kaufman, Moundridge; sister, Verna M. Goering, Moundridge; brother-in-law, Clarence Goering, Moundridge; sister-in-law, Julaine Goering, Moundridge.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milo; brothers, Reed and Allen Dale Kaufman; sisters, Bertha Schrag, Elma Goering, Edna Wedel and Linda Gican.

The committal service will be Wednesday, November 12, at 9:30 a. m. in the Eden Mennonite Church Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. in the Eden Mennonite Church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 till 8:00 p.m. with family present from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Moundridge Funeral Home.  Memorial donations are suggested to Pine Village, in care of the funeral home.
