Obituary

Elizabeth (Smith) Partridge, 89, passed away on Dec. 25, 2014, at Pleasant View Home, Inman, Kansas.

She was born Feb. 19, 1925, in Newton, to Frank P. and Anna (Kluge) Smith. She was a lifetime resident of Newton. In March 1949, she married Sydney L. Partridge. He passed away on April 23, 1979.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan (Daniel) Higgins of Hutchinson; a step-son, Joseph Partridge of Carrolton, Texas; a brother, Frank J. Smith; three grandchildren, Sheila Stambaugh, Loretta McKim and Robert McKim; and 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by husband, Sydney L. Partridge; brothers, Edward in World War II and Charles; and one sister, Edna Prouty.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at the Newton Seventh Day Adventist Church, 202 N. Walnut St., Newton, with Pastor Jerry Nowack officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will follow the service in the Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.  Memorials may be made to either the Pleasant View Home or the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Hutchinson, in care of Buhler Mortuary, 120 N.
