Obituary

   Mary Bindley Rowan was born in July 0f 1836 and passed away in January of  1915.  She was 78 years old.  She was married in 1862 to David Rowan in February 1884 and they moved too a farm four miles west of Halstead.

   She was a decided religious disposition and a faithful member of the Methodist Church.

   Survivors:  husband; dughter, Mrs. H. S. Gilhams of Sedgwick; foster daughter, Mrs. Thomas Ruick; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Jacob and Luke Brindley; sister Mrs. Margaret Hoak.

   Interment was in the Halstead Cemetery.
