Anna Marie Hanson, 84, died on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at her home in Peabody.
She was born on June 1, 1930, to Alfred and Eunice (Dowell) Hansen in Peabody. She married Leo K. Hanson on June 7, 1957, in Peabody. He died on Jan. 14, 1990. Anna was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Peabody. She was a nurse's aide at the Peabody Nursing Home for many years. Her favorite pastimes included, reading, crocheting, sewing and tending to her house plants and outdoor plants.
Survivors include a son, Lonnie Hanson of Arizona; daughter, Leona Oakman, Manhattan; brother, Francis Hanson, Medicine Lodge; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and great-nieces and nephews. Other family preceding her in death was a brother, Robert Hanson; sister, Rosa McEhiney; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
There will be no services held. Cremation has taken place. Broadway Colonial Funeral Home of Newton has charge of the arrangements.
