Wanda J. Dyck, 82, passed away Jan. 11, 2015, as a result of injuries from an accident at Asbury Park, Newton.
She was born May 17, 1932, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Abraham and Margaret (Everhart) Swarts. She was a secretary in the Remington School District for many years. On Nov. 17, 1951, she was united in marriage to Arthur W. Dyck, and he preceded her in death in 1991.
She is survived by her sister, Gloria Shepherd of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, Lynn Swarts of Walton, and Kay Swarts of Hutchinson; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater. A private inurnment will be in the Emmaus Cemetery of Whitewater. A memorial fund has been established for the Whitewater Memorial Library, in care of Lamb Funeral Home, 120 S. Main, Whitewater, KS 67154.
