Maxine J. Chadbourn, 85, Sedgwick, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
She was born Nov. 11, 1929, in Washington, the daughter of Arthur and Dora (Stamm) Schick. On June 11, 1952, she married Kenneth Chadbourn in Wichita. He preceded her in death Nov. 4, 2004. She was a Sedgwick area resident since 1993 and was a member of Pleasant Valley Church, rural Sedgwick. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include daughters: Paula (Jim) Fuoss, Bartlett, Illinois, Loree (Lee) Nichols, Sedgwick, Janelle (Ray) Case, Manhattan, and Michelle (Kent) Mundhenk, Papua, New Guinea; daughter-in-law: Beth Ann (Doug) Breen, Tucson, Arizona; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Marlin, and sisters, Nadine and Carol Schick.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Pleasant Valley Church, rural Sedgwick, with Pastors Paul Wulff and Robert Varner officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Lebanon Cemetery, Pretty Prairie. Memorials may be given to Pleasant Valley Church, in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
