LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Robert T. Babson, 77, of Louisville, formerly of Worcester, died Thursday, Aug. 16, in Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.
He leaves his wife, Marjorie (Hunsinger) Weeks; three stepsons, John and Andy Weeks, both of Louisville, and Robert Weeks of Austin, Texas; 10 grandchildren. His first wife, Hildegarde (Hamma) Babson, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, and lived in Grand Rapids, Mich., before moving to Louisville. He graduated from Kansas State University, and was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a past president of the Old Grand Rapids Creditmen Association, and was a member of Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids.
The memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, in Strathmoor Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will also be held at a later date in Grand Rapids. Donations may be made to a charity. Pearson Funeral Home, 149 Breckinridge Lane, is directing arrangements.
