PINEVILLE, Mo. -- Herman D. Eck, 91,
died Monday (Sept. 30, 2002) at Heritage Park Nursing Center in
Rogers, Ark.
He was born Oct. 1, 1910, to David B.
and Sussie (Richert) Eck in Protection. They preceded him in death.
He married Mamie D. Koehn Oct. 25, 1936, in Halstead. She preceded
him in death April 22, 2000.
He moved to Pineville, Mo., from North
Newton in 1989. He was an ordained minister of the Free Fall Gospel
Pentecostal Church of Newton. He worked as a farmer, a framer, a
carpenter, a cabinet maker, spent most of his working life as a dry
wall contractor and after his retirement he did bike construction and
repair.
Survivors include: three daughters, Ada
Mae Jackson of Bonanza, Ore., Karen Janet Henson of Pineville and
Marsha Kae Caple of Kimberling City, Mo.; three sisters, Adena Kasper
of Newton, Martha Eck of Avery, Calif., and Mary Eck of Kansas City,
Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four
step-great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by: two
brothers, Joel and Benjamin; and a sister, Matilda Decker.
Funeral service was Wednesday at the
funeral home with Brother Bob Cartwright officiating.
Burial was in Pineville Cemetery in
Pineville.
