HESSTON -- Cleo M. Yoder, 74,
homemaker, died Sunday (Sept. 29, 2002) at Newton Medical Center.
He was born March 14, 1928, to Noah E.
and Edna (Shrock) Miller in rural Hutchinson. She married Melvin
Yoder April 14, 1950, in Yoder. He survives of Hesston.
She was a member of Whitestone
Mennonite Church and Gideons International. She was active in Gideons
and was the state auxiliary president for three years. She lived near
Hutchinson until moving to Hesston in 1961.
Other survivors include: a son, Arlan
Yoder of Hesston; a daughter, Arnella Purdy of Hesston; a brother,
Freddie Miller of Hutchinson; and six grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by: two
daughters, Neta Faye and Diane Dell; and two sisters, Susie Miller and Erma Diener.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday with family greeting friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home. in Hesston.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at
Whitestone Mennonite Church in Hesston with the Rev. Leonard Wiebe
and youth pastor Derek Yoder officiating.
Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery.
