Ned Arthur, 68, died Friday (Oct. 4,
2002) at Kansas Christian Home in Newton.
He was born Feb. 12, 1934, in Newton to
Reace Palmer and Mary Ruth (Craft) Arthur. His parents preceded him
in death. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Masonic
Lodge, Jaycees and Rotary, all of Newton. He also was a member of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars in Falls City, Neb. He was in the U.S. Army
from 1953 through 1955. He sold cars in the Newton area and was
employed by Petersen Funeral Home.
Survivors include: a brother, Dwane
Arthur of Newton; a sister, Lois Hastings of Newton; and several
nieces and nephew.
He also was preceded in death by two
brothers, Edwin Arthur and the Rev. Donald Arthur.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Keating of
First United Methodist Church in Newton officiating.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m.
today at the funeral home, with family greeting friends from 6:30 to
8 p.m.
Burial will be in Restlawn Gardens of
Memory in Newton.

Central Homecare & Hospice in care of the funeral home.
