Frank G. Koehn
GOESSEL -- Frank G. Koehn, 86, of Goessel, retired farmer, died Wednesday (June 2, 1999) at Newton Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 16, 1912, in Marion County to David C. and Anna (Goossen) Koehn. He married Tina Hiebert April 2, 1939, in Goessel. She preceded him in death Feb. 7, 1967. He married Elizabeth Franz June 1, 1969, in Whitewater. She also preceded him in death Feb. 18, 1995.
He grew up in Marion County. He lived in Newton from 1969 to 1996, moving to the Bethesda Home in Goessel in 1996. He was a member of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel.
Survivors include: one son, Leroy Koehn of Moundridge; three daughters, Leona Brandt of Goessel, Verna Schmidt of Newton and Ilene Hackney of North Newton; two step-daughters, Carol Patterson of Ft. Scott and Nancy Schmidt of Elbing; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Alexanderwohl Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church with the Revs. James Dunn and Joan Boyer officiating.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.
Memorials have been established with Bethesda Home in care of the funeral home.
