Bechtel, Norman Wear, 81, born Feb. 3, 1924, passed away Oct. 2, 2005. Survivors, wife, Bobbie; daughter Sherry Clark and husband Spencer; brother, Gordon Gwinn and wife Wanita; grandchildren, Evan, Adrian, and Tristan Clark.
Norman served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He retired from the Wichita Fire Dept. aftter 22 years and later worked as an electrician at WSU for 13 years.
Interment 9 am, Thur., Halstead Cemetery, service following 11 am, First Mennonite Bretheran Church. Memorial: Kansas Humane Society.
