Madelin M. Volgamore
1921 - 2015 | Obituary
Madelin M. Volgamore 93, died Thursday
April 29, 2015 at her son's residence.
She was born October 4, 1921 in
Jamestown, Kansas to Howell and Hattie (Hughes) Prosser. She was a
1940 graduate of Hardy Nebraska High School. On October 18, 1945 she
married Kenneth R. Volgamore in Farmington New Mexico and he preceded
her in death on December 7, 2002.
Prior to her marriage Madelin worked in
the ship yards at San Pedro, California. She was a member of the
Golden Plains Free Methodist Church in Newton, Kansas. Madelin
enjoyed working in her yard and exercising taking daily walks around
her neighborhood. She was a loving mother and friend and looked
forward to spending time with her sons and their family and her many
friends.
She is survived by sons: Bill of
Duncan, Oklahoma; David (Luann) of Grand Junction, Colorado; Kent
(Lisa) of Haysville, Kansas; 4 grandchildren and 6 great
grandchildren.
Madelin is preceded in death by her
parents, husband Kenneth and brother William Prosser.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m.
Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Golden Plains Free Methodist Church with
Pastor Jean Bergren presiding. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday at Petersen Funeral Home with the family receiving friends
from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery,
Newton, Kansas

Plains Free Methodist Church in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
