Sedgwick - Lawrence Wesley "Wes"
Wright, 86, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Asbury Park, Newton.
He was born October 28, 1928, at
Woodward, OK, to Harry A. and Mary M. (Milne) Wright.
He earned his BA from Wichita State and
taught science and social studies in Sedgwick schools for 28 years.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during
the Korean War.
He was a member of Plymouth
Congregational Church, Sedgwick.
On November 23, 1955, he married
Dorothy Lee Hudson at Wichita. She preceded him in death December 4,
2002.
Survivors include sisters: Harriett
Dolezalek, Broomfield, CO; and Mary Ann (Lee) Crawford, Flower Mound,
TX.
He was also preceded in death by a
brother, Thomas Wright.
A celebration of Wes' life will be at 2
p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Plymouth Congregational Church,
Sedgwick, with the Rev. Craig Reynolds officiating.
Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd
Hospice or the American Cancer Society in care of Kaufman Funeral
Home, Halstead.
