Michael R. ""Mike""
Quint, 39, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015, at Newton Medical
Center.
Mike was born to Gene and Frances Quint
on June 18, 1975. He graduated from Newton High School in 1993.
Through the years, Mike worked various jobs, most recently a carpet
installer. Michael was a loving and caring son; brother; grandson;
and nephew. He was especially devoted to his grandparents; he helped
and cared for them in many ways through the years.
Mike was a good and loyal friend to
many, always able to bring a smile or laugh. He was always willing to
lend a helping hand. He enjoyed fishing; walking the family dog, whom
he loved dearly; and being with his friends. He will be greatly
missed.
Michael is survived by his parents; a
brother, John Quint of Phoenix, Arizona; grandmother, Mary Quint of
Newton, Kansas; Aunt Rita Quint of Wichita, Kansas; Uncles Terry
Hankins of Newton, Kansas, and Chris Hankins of Ooltewah, Tennessee;
Aunt Betty Williamson of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his
maternal grandparents, Albert and Margaret Hankins; paternal
grandfather, Eugene R. Quint; and his Aunt Barbara Nyquest.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-9
p.m. with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Rosary will be Wednesday
at 7 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass in celebration
of Mike's life will be at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with
burial following at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers
memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church or
Asbury Park of Newton, KS. Condolences may be left at
