James P. Huebert
Obituary
HALSTEAD - James P. Huebert, 81, died
Friday, February 27, 2015 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born December 30, 1933 at
Halstead, KS the son of Otto and Frieda Anna (Wiebe) Huebert.
He graduated from Halstead High School
and attended Kansas State University.
He was an aerospace engineer for
Lockheed and Cessna working on the C5A Galaxy cargo plane and the
Gemini space program.
He was a member of First Mennonite
Church, Halstead, and was a 55 year member of Halstead Masonic Lodge
becoming a 32nd degree Mason and was also member of the Midian
Shrine.
On July 5, 1953, he married Mildred L.
Talbott at Halstead, KS; she preceded him in death, August 23, 2014.
Survivors include sons: Doug (Susan)
Huebert; Dave (Denise) Huebert, all of Halstead, KS; Bill (Angie)
Huebert, Ponca City, OK; brother: Kurt (Leota) Huebert, Halstead, KS;
11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother:
Richard Huebert, and sisters: Gertrude Gingress, Margaret Brown and
Dorothy Ross.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at First Mennonite Church, Halstead, KS
with Pastor Brian Harmon officiating.
Inurnment will be in Halstead Cemetery,
Halstead, KS.
Memorials may be given to First
Mennonite Church or Newton Medical Center in care Kaufman Funeral
Home, Halstead, KS.
