SEDGWICK -- Gerold "Jerry"
McGinn, 82 died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Sandpiper Health &
Rehabilitation, Wichita, Kansas.
He was born October 19, 1932 at
Sedgwick, Kansas to John Maurice and Evelyn E. (Schuetz) McGinn.
A lifelong Sedgwick resident, he was a
1951 graduate of Sedgwick High School and was a member of Sacred
Heart Catholic Church, Halstead, KS.
He served in the U.S. Army during the
Korean War and was a member of Hicks-Davison American Legion Post 268
Sedgwick, Kansas.
He was a farmer and stockman and
retired as shop manager for O.J. Watson Equipment.
On November 26, 1960 he married Mary L.
Mangan at Halstead. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include son: Kermit
(Melanie) McGinn, Sedgwick, KS; daughters: Regina Weber, Sedgwick,
KS; Judy (J.D. Doesken) Yoder, Park City, KS; brother: Duane
(Charlotte) McGinn, Halstead, KS; sister: Janice McVicar, Wichita,
KS; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers:
Kenneth and Richard McGinn.
Friends may call from 2 to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
The Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
Thursday and the Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m.
Friday, both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead.
Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery
Sedgwick.
Memorials may be given to Hicks-Davison
American Legion Post Scholarship Fund in care of Kaufman Funeral
