Arnold J. Entz
1925 - 2015 | Obituary
Arnold J. Entz, 90, passed away Friday,
March 20 in Newton. He was born on February 8, 1925 to Gustav and
Katie (Regier) Entz in Newton, Kansas. Arnold married Jane Wedel on
August 25, 1954 in Elbing, Kansas. They were married for 60 years
prior to his death. Arnold was a retired farmer. He was a member of
First Mennonite Church of Newton.
He is survived by his wife: Jane;
children: Loren and wife Nancy, Janene Jantz ; and grandchildren
Christina Entz and Derek Entz
He was preceded in death by his
parents: Gustav and Katie Entz; brothers Bernhard, Alfred and Gus,
and sisters Frieda Harder, Louise Wedel and Helen Kaufman Klaassen.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 11
a.m., Thursday, March 26 at First Mennonite Church of Newton. A
visitation is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25 at
Petersen Funeral Home. The family will be present to greet friends
from 6 to 7:30 p.m. during the visitation. The burial will be held
prior to the Memorial Service at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 26, at
Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
A memorial has been set up for
Mennonite Central Committee and the First Mennonite Church Short Term
