Obituary
Bobby Lee Megli, 88, of Hutchinson,
died March 26, 2015, at Asbury Park Assisted Living Facility, Newton.
He was born Dec. 7, 1926, in rural
Woodson County, to William and Katie (Schwalm) Megli, the last of 12
children.
He was a career Non Commission Officer
in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1975. Bob also served in
the United States Navy. Upon retiring from the service, he was a
quality control inspector for Consolidated Manufacturing,
Incorporated. Bobby was a member of the American Legion Lyle Rischel
Post #68, the V.F.W. Bob Campbell Post #1361, the NCOA, and the BPOE
#453.
Survivors include many nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his
brothers, Worthy, Reuben, Harvey, Willie, Dwight, Ernest and Joseph
Megli; and sisters, Opal Griffith, Lydia Cheever, Eva Williams and
Betty Nelson.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside
service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Fairlawn Burial
Park, with Chaplain Bill Eichelberger presiding. Friends may sign the
book Wednesday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd
Hospice or to the Reno County Headstart Program, both in care of
Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
