Obituary
Hesston - Cora G. Schmidt, 93, passed
away on May 25, 2015 at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. She was born
September 9, 1921 in Goessel Hospital, Goessel the daughter of Peter
A. and Agatha Schroeder Voth.
She was a seamstress and homemaker. On
September 4, 1941 she married Eldon Schmidt in the Alexanderwohl
Mennonite Church, Goessel. He passed away on March 18, 2010.
She was also preceded in death by
daughter-in-law, Carol Schmidt and a sister, Virginia Guerra. She is
survived by her children, Bryce Schmidt of Wichita, Gareth
(Charlotte) Schmidt of Goessel, Merrill (Sandy) Schmidt of Newton,
Colleen (Todd) Gillespie of Asheville, N.C., Bradford (Terrie)
Schmidt of Oceanside, CA, sister, Nada Voth of Walton, 10
grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, 1
step great great grandchild.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m.,
Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Koerner Heights Church, Newton with Pastor
Tim Mace officiating. The family will greet friends 1 hour prior to
the service at the church. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery,
Hesston.
