Raymond E. Oursler
MARION - Raymond E. Oursler, 97, died
on Wednesday (Aug. 11, 2010) at Salem Home in Hillsboro.
Mr. Oursler was born on March 29, 1913
in Newton, the son of Tom and Nina Cadwell Oursler.
He was a retired conductor for the
Santa Fe Railroad. In his retirement years, he was an avid gardener,
hauled dirt and rock, and did contract mowing.
He was married to Betty Davis on June
29, 1949, in Newton. For many years, they made their home at the
Marion County Lake.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of
the home; a son, Terry of Gueda Springs; two daughters, Christine
Holmes of Wichita and Pauline Caldwell of Colorado Springs, Colo.;
seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins.
Visitation with the family present will
be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St. in
Marion.
A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.
Saturday at Emanuel Baptist Church in Marion.
Committal will follow at Marion
Cemetery.
Memorials have been established with
Emanuel Baptist Church and Hospice Care of Kansas.
