Walter L.. Milne, 89, former Sedgwick Coop manager died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Newton Medical Center. He was born July 28, 1925 at Putnam to James W. and Anna Bertha Margaretth (Paseman) Milne. He was a lifelong area resident formerly residing in Sedgwick, Halstead and Newton
He was a WWII U. S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, Sedgwick Post 3600 Climax Springs, Missouri and Ruth Wilson American Legion Post 231 Halstead.
On September 5, 1947 he married Iris Jeanne McCorkle at Sedgwick. She preceded him in death December 6, 1999. On September 12, 2000 he marrried Hazel May Arrowsmith Black at Sedgwick. She survives of the home.
Other survivors: son, Rod (Susan) Milne, Wichita; daughters; Sheila (Tom)Anderson, Newton; Dedra (James) Key, Lago Vista, Texas; brothers, Orville Milne, Sedgwick; James (Karen) Milne, Edmund, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildreen; 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchilld. He was preceded in death bh a brother, Oren Milne; sisters, Dorothy Senn and Edith Armfield.
Memorial services will be January 31, 2015at Plymouth Congregatoional Church, Sedgwick. Inurnment will be private.
