Carl E. Vaupel

   Carl E. "Shorty" Vaupel, 880, retired lineman for United Telephone and Spring died Saturday January 24, 2015 at Halstead  He was born October 7, 1934 at Salina to Charles and Clara  (Nelson) Vaupel.

   He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Osboorn; served in the U. S. Air Force and was aa member of Burrton American Letion Post 339.

   On June 1, 1956 he maried Jeannine at Barnard.  She survives of Halstead.  Other survivors; son Casey Vaupel, Burrton; daughter, Frances Bright; brother Charles Vaupell,Superior Nebraska; sister Hellen Malmstrom, Hutchinson; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Cay Vaupel; brother, Richard Vaupel and sisters, Dorothy and Vivian Werner.

   Cremation has taken  place.  Memorials to American Lung Association.
