Rodenberg, Fred A.

   Fred A. Rodenberg, 81, retired truck driver, died Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita.  He was born April 15 1933 at Halstead, Kansas to Fritz J. and Emma (Thorp) Rodenbergt.  He was a graduate of Halstead High School and served in the U. S. Army.

  During his working life he worked for Wichita Water Department and was a solid waste truck driver.  On Decmber 12, 1955 he married Dorothy Jean Eckel at Mt. Hope.  She survives of the home.  Other survivors: sons; Grad (Joyce), Craig and Mark (Shirley)  Rodenberg, all of Halstead
 daughter, Sharon (Scott) Owens, Kismet; brothers; Edward (Fran) Rodenbgerg, San Diego, California; James (Carolyn) Rodenberg, Lychburg, Virginnia; sister, Loouise (Gene) Kerr, White Bluff, Tennessee; 8 grandsons and 5 great grandsons.  He was preceded by a sister, Edna Rodenberg.

   Services were held March 18 at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.  Inurnment at the Halstead Cemetery will be private.
